The Google Tag Manager

What is tag management?

It's the process of planning, deploying and managing website tags within a single interface.

The vast majority of marketing tools use tags in order for them to collect data and function.

For example, Facebook Ads, Google Ads and Google Analytics all require tags to be added to your website to function.

The Google Tag Manager is a tagging tool that allows you to easily add marketing tags to your website without website coding experience.

The Importance of Spreadsheets

Pretty much every single marketing tool will export data into a spreadsheet. This includes Google Ads, Google Analytics and many more!

By mastering spreadsheets, you'll be able to interpret and present data in a clear and actionable way, enabling you and other stakeholders to make informed marketing decisions.

Getting comfortable with Excel (or Google Sheets) is crucial to becoming a top 1% digital marketer.
